The Ontology Browser is made by the FIATECH ADI project

It works with example Facades filled with example data. The Facade triplestore endpoint addresses and the example data (OWL files) can be downloaded from the ISO 15926 part 7 examples page

A simple session with the Ontology Browser to get its flavor:

• Click on Facades
  • You can see the Facades which will be targeted when you issue a query
• Press the button reset all
  • The settings for the target Facade is now limited to the ISO 15926 RDL, the central Reference Data Library. Currently this is just filled with an example set.
  • The little triangle is set before a Confederation of Participating Facades (CPF) which we will try out later.
• In the left menu, click Query , now query something
  • The method is with wildcards. Type asterix (*) and press go which will give all the data. Asterix means the any character any number of times.
  • You can also just query pump to get all terms having the word pump in it.
  • See that all you query are classes and their definitions. So only types of things, which is what the RDL is for.
• Press Facades again, press un-select on the RDL, open the CPF list (click the triangle), and select the P4502 Project Facade CONS
  • These are different Facades belonging in one group.
  • The P4502 Project Facade CONS is a example Facade of an Engineering contractor project, and it contains 3 vessels being engineered.
• Press Query and query vessel
  • See the 3 vessels, which you can select to see some engineering data.
  • When clicking on one of the terms, it will jump to the RDL which explains the term
• Notice on the right side a list building up. These are breadcrumbs which you can use to jump back to previous queries.
