Re: Templates for Tagging In Jord

Victor, You wrote in your comments: " If you’ve only started dealing with Mimosa OGI Pilot facility, you can be sure that classes representing pumps P-11100A-D don’t exist. If you’ve already modelled other datasets from the project – you’ve to check by tags - probable they were already modelled as p...

Re: ISO15926-9(20121119) questions

A minor comment... The manifest is supposed to contain instances of the following owl:classes: - p9mm:EPTContainedTemplatesAtEndpoint - p9mm:EPTContainsInstancesOf ... Since they both refer to only this particular Endpoint (apparently) can I suggest that we make both class names more aligned?.. Like...

Re: ISO15926-9(20121119) questions

"2.1.7 ISO 15926-9 file ...Its contents cannot be modified by its owner without changing the identifier of the ISO 15926-9 File." Can I ask why?.. Why cannot we just change the hash value in the manifest section of the file? (as described in Annex A - see p9mm:EPTLastUpdateHashCode) Further we read:...

Re: Modelling Property Ranges in Part7 and Part8

As far as I understand there will have to be some logic at the application level anyway as you do not only have to check that an upper or a lower limit is not null but you have to make sure the value has the appropriate type. The axiom implies the type but doesn't prevent you from using the template...

Re: Modelling Property Ranges in Part7 and Part8

In Part 2 I read: "A <temporal_bounding> is an <assembly_of_individual> that indicates that the part <event> is a temporal boundary of the whole <possible_individual>.". The point in time is a subtype of event.? Agreed. Sorry for confusion. But you haven't convinced me so far that you actually need...

Re: Modelling Property Ranges in Part7 and Part8

Hans, Could you please elaborate on "The link between the design and the individual is via this hasDefined subtype of ClassOfRelationship (also with connection, assembly, etc)."? As it's not obvious to me as well why you need that separate role (perhaps it is already obvious to Victor after your rep...

Re: Modelling Property Ranges in Part7 and Part8

Hans, On the first diagram I believe you need to change the role of PointInTime to whole instead of part. Doesn't make sense otherwise. Also, assuming that at a partiular point in time you only have one temporal part of possible individual (or is it not the case?) - do you actually need a separate h...

Re: Class Model

It is indeed quite confusing due to the paricular example that Hans used right in the beginning of the thread. The approach looks OK to the depth of my knowledge (though several "issues" were noticed by Victor). But that approach for dealing with class "maintenance" during their lifecycle is mixed h...
