Do we really need The Globally Unique IDs?

Collegues, it seems that we have a problem! 1. We (Rosatom RDS developers) really don't understand what profit in usage of Globally Unique IDs? Because old-style URIs = namespace + LocalID (no matter human-readable or not) will be globally Unique by definition (even if local ID is just a sequence nu...

Re: P&ID Take-off and mapping

Hans, I think what there is a missing point - a process case, because in fact this system could be used in many regimes, so set of streams have to be process case. And about material characteristics - as I know PID are usually designed using piping specification. Piping specification contains only s...

Re: P&ID Take-off and mapping

Very interesting!

Are there any artifacts for typical PID characteristics of this system including piping material characteristic (diameter and wall thickness) and process characteristic (pressure, temperature, fluid)?

Getting Role Cardinalities from Templates

Hello all! We faced a problem which seems to be a common: the way to get all role properties from template is to use appropriate metatemplates, that offers properties such a RoleIndex, RoleFillerType and so on. But we cannot find a property to obtain Role Cardinality. What could you suggest to do it...

Re: ISO15926-9(20121119) questions

"4.9 Security considerations for an ISO 15926 endpoint An ISO 15926 service should be exposed from a DMZ and never be exposed directly to the web." I think it should depends of Owner's Will. "5 ISO 15926 Client An application that conforms to ISO 15926 client specification..." Where we can find this...

Re: Models for Models (OIMs)

Hans, please, just say that Victor understands your conception correctly and we have another cycle of deprivation of part2 Class of Relationship. Victor, please, if merging of these two OIMs is not a problem for you, could you propose a 15926 diagram that illustrate that? I just hope you don't propo...

Models for Models (OIMs)

The problem that we are trying to solve is OIM management. Example. We have two separate models PIPELINE VALVE OIM (1.jpg) and PIPING SYSTEM OIM (2.jpg). As in http://www.15926.org/publications/general-discussions/class-model/index.htm proposed we use a Classification relationship between model (ESO...

Re: Namespaces

Hello Hans! I think it is time for understanding of a nature of Class. Could you explain to us what exactly conception ISO 15926 standard keeps in mind about a Class. Because, now we see clear that this conception is out of classic set theory - this is not equivalent for set (Cantor theory), and thi...

Re: Namespaces

Hans, Onno, sorry for my interfere in discussion, but I have two questions 1. If part Part 8 states namespaces in format "http://standards.iso.org/iso/ts/15926/-8/ed-1/tech/reference-data/data-model#" it means we have to use exactly this format, isn't it? 2. Slide power-set.pdf - it is more interest...
