Re: Getting Role Cardinalities from Templates

Your question suggests that a role can be used many times from a single template, if assigned a cardinality. But a template has an internal model expressed in first order logic. A template role is connected to that model. It cannot be dynamic. If a relationship needs to be multiple, the solution is ...

Namespaces -- the final decision

The poll on namespaces was a success. The MMT SIG definitely works and it was a job well-done by the group and especially Kari-Anne as chair person. The conclusion is: Does a namespace need to be short? -- Yes Does a namespace need to carry ISO part information -- No Do we need to split up Entity Da...

The Ontology-based standards initiative

A new semantic web special interest group has emerged, the "Ontology-based standards" initiative. They run web meetings from this address . The subscription method is found under section Team Workspace: Discussion List, Archives, File-Share Workspace . Obviously the ISO 15926 is an Ontology-based st...

Re: Template FOL axiom encoding

In the time that Johan Kluewer wrote the basis of part 7, the rule language of choice was SWRL. He took FOL to be interdependent of computer languages. However he mentioned the move to RIF which was not developed back then.

Re: p7tpl file generation

In summary, after Victor's observations the following: Templates proposed (to the MMT SIG) on the 15926.org have the namespace proposedtpl="http://15926.org/templates-test/templates#" Templates approved then go to namespace p7tpl="http://standards.iso.org/iso/ts/15926/-8/ed-1/tech/reference-data/tem...

Re: The Template Expander (Lifting templates)

The template specs list has a new download link called Generate and download all-templates.txt (complete FOL code for template expander) This download produces the all-templates.txt file, which can be used as seed for the template expander . Also, on request from Hans, the individual spec sheets hav...

Re: Adding Template definitions to Triple stores

As defined in ISO 15926-8 the base/core templates are located in the p7tpl namespace (we are changing namespace URIs so I can't give you the http name yet). On this website we have a option "online tools" in the menu. Go there and select "template specs lists". This is the complete list (we think it...

Yes, but this poll is a perfect example that if we reason things out, we arrive at other decisions as what the standards authors had decided before, in isolation.

Re: p7tpl file generation

Yes part 6 is sent up for publication to the ISO secretariat, I heard today in the web meeting of the T25 meeting (click meetings) No problem. Our group is there to generate issues and to solve them. So Victor it would be great if you would make a model out of your solution for FOL, that we can disc...
