Structural Beam and Column Template?

#1 Post by sraeisi »

What is the best approach to model Beam and Columns in ISO15926?

A beam or column will have below properties in desired model:
Start Point i.e. 0,0,3000
End Point i.e. 0,5000, 3000
Profile Specification
Justification i.e. Top Of Steel

There are classes in RDL like:

rdl:class Beam http://data.posccaesar.org/rdl/RDS5754776
rdl:class Column http://data.posccaesar.org/rdl/RDS288179

Which are subclasses of rdl:class StructuralFunctionalComponentClass http://data.posccaesar.org/rdl/RDS7197156

Also properties such as start point and end point can be found in rdl:Class StartPoint http://data.posccaesar.org/rdl/RDS1721120281 and rdl:class EndPoint http://data.posccaesar.org/rdl/RDS1721121281 although there is no subclass of beam and column or structural items in their subclasses

There are also some duplicate items in Profile Specifications which is making it difficult to chose the right profile. Is there any guidance to narrow them down?

for Justification it is more unclear. as I can not find any class in the RDL.

Should we start a local RDL and make appropriate and required classes?

Or shall we create local Core templates for these Beam and Column items?
